- "The House Floor is simply a group of friends who love and learn from each other. The Brooklyn five-piece’s debut LP, Warship, is an epic sonic interpretation of that friendship. A unique approach to song structure, more rooted in classical music than the rock/psych-pop/new folk milieu the guitar/bass/drums/mandolin setup implies, is accompanied by tight musicianship & author-delivered lyricism. Experiencing them live has been likened to, 'being on crack and then finding out that you’re dad is not you’re real dad.' While not immediately obvious, this was meant as a compliment."
