Red Directors: official website; myspace; After Leaving Polymer66 in 2000 and putting out a solo record in 2001, Trevor grabbed Matthew Churchill (guitar), Jon Doran (bass), and Spencer Potts (Drums) to form Echo Lane. Shortly after Jay Wert (guitar) joined the band Echo Lane appeared in Rolling Stone's January issue and headlined New York's Howl Festival. In 2003 Spencer left the band to pursue other "more corporate" dreams... as a result, after a brief stint with Matt Torrey behind the wheel, Joe Polacik entered the band and took over the drums. In 2005 Jay Wert left the band to be a grown up and start a family (it's ok... we love him anyway). Joe Mangan then entered the picture as a guitar player and did not actually play bass for Echo Lane until 2006 when Jon Doran left the band to dive into a fabulously successful film career. Drummer, Joe Polacik, left the band in 2009 to pursue his career as a production designer and to settle down with his new lovely wife, Val. This is when, as a group, they decided to reform and relaunch as Red Directors and have been rockin the crap out of clubs in NY as well as other venues up and down the east coast ever since. I guess good things come to those who stick around.
